From Right Answers to Rich Answers

About the Workshop

For decades, Indian classrooms have been built around one simple idea: the right answer gets the marks. But a child who memorises the formula and a child who understands why it works are not the same learner — and our assessments have rarely known the difference. NEP 2020 is asking teachers to move beyond correct answers toward rich answers — responses that show understanding, reasoning, and the ability to connect knowledge to the real world. This session unpacks what that shift looks like in practice, with real examples across subjects and grades that teachers can take back to their classrooms immediately.

Educators who practise what they teach

Every trainer at The Staffroom Academy is an active educator with deep, hands-on classroom experience. No armchair theorists — just practitioners who've been in your shoes.

About Staffroom Academy

Staffroom Academy is a practitioner-led initiative born from a simple realization:  Indian education is undergoing its most exciting transformation in decades. A bold new vision is reshaping what classrooms look like, how students learn, and what it truly means to teach. But the people expected to deliver it — teachers — are being asked to transform without a roadmap.

We are a collective of experienced educators, curriculum leaders, and academic heads from some of India's leading K–12 institutions. Between us, we carry decades of classroom experience across CBSE, ICSE, and international boards. We've built curricula, mentored faculty, led schools — and we understand deeply how challenging it is to reimagine your teaching practice while standing in front of a classroom every single day.

That's exactly why Staffroom Academy exists. Not to lecture, but to walk alongside fellow teachers through this transition. Through workshops, expert panels, and hands-on training sessions, we create a space where educators can learn together, share what's working, ask what isn't, and build the confidence to move from rote-driven instruction to competency-based, experiential classrooms — one practical step at a time.

We are not consultants looking in from the outside. We are teachers standing shoulder to shoulder with teachers — because we believe the most promising chapter in Indian education is being written right now, and it will be written by the people who show up to the classroom every morning.

Unlearn textbooks and learn classrooms

The future of Indian education won't deliver itself — teachers will. We make sure they're ready.
